FS2004 Lynyrd Skynyrd CV340

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Convair CV-340 tribute repaint brings historically faithful textures to the California Classic CV340UAL, matched to the real aircraft from an in-person reference and featuring period-correct markings, including the distinctive single-side tail number. Designed for FS2004, it updates the exterior while keeping the classic airliner feel intact.

Textures for the CV340UAL from California Classic. It is done as a tribute to the late great "Lynyrd Skynyrd" whose airplane crashed on October 20th, 1977. These textures are exact, based on an in person visit to the airplane. Why the tail # is only on one side is not known. Ronnie Van Zant had Free Bird put on one side as well. By Jeff Smith.

  • Copy and paste the "texture.lynyrd skynyrd" into your "cv340 ual" folder.
  • Edit your aircraft cfg file with the cfg I gave you. Copy the section below to the "aircraft.cfg" file within the "cv340 ual" folder in the "Aircraft" directory of FS9, making sure you change the "xx" in the first line to the next sequential number. This is my #5 repaint so I hope you like it.

    Fly Away Simulation,

Your information about the plane that was carrying the members of Southern rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and members of some newspaper press people is incorrect.

The plane was a Convair CV-240.....not a 340. Please correct this information.

    Thank You,
    Tony Trout
