Immerse your AI traffic with a refined set of Iberia Airbus A320-family repaints crafted for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. This freeware package by Nick Fionnlagh provides uniquely named aircraft from the airline’s complete 2014 fleet, reflecting both older and more recent color schemes. It also includes special event liveries, such as the distinctive basketball-themed design, ensuring a comprehensive portrayal of Iberia’s operations.
Detailed Iberia A320-200 Textures
These repaints are tailored for the FSX-specific, AI-dedicated FAIB Airbus A320-200 CFM model. Each livery is optimized in .dds DXT5 format, ensuring clarity while maintaining smooth performance in your simulator environment. To use these textures, the base FAIBA320.ZIP package is required. You can locate that freeware model in the Fly Away Simulation file library.

A321 Variants and Extended Liveries
Within this package, textures for the FAIB A321 CFM model are also covered in the same timeframe. The 2014 updates incorporate both legacy and refreshed Iberia branding, along with special promotional liveries. Each entry is thoroughly named, and every repaint is presented in .dds DXT5 format to maintain high-quality rendering.
AI Flight Plan Compatibility
No 2014-specific timetables are included here, but you can still adapt previously released 2013 flight plans if you proceed with caution. Although there are no official 2014 plans available for Iberia, these repaints integrate smoothly into any AI traffic schedules you choose to utilize.
Installation Guidelines
- Place the texture folders inside your FAIB A321 (or A320) directory, then add the corresponding aircraft.cfg entries from the included documentation.
- Verify or modify the [fltsim.x] numbers to match your current fleet configurations.
To streamline the renumbering, a small application called FSRenum is provided. Simply move it into your aircraft folder, run it, and follow the prompt. This utility handles the incremental adjustments to ensure you do not encounter conflicting texture entries.
Lightmaps and 3D Shockwave Notes
No separate nightmap file is encoded in these texture sets, as the original FAIB instructions require a shared lightmap to be installed into your “Scenery” directory. Additionally, if you are set up with 3D Shockwave lighting, the necessary entries are already incorporated in the included aircraft.cfg snippets.
Upcoming Fleet Expansions
This release completes the A320 family for Iberia in 2014. Additional A330-300, A340-300, and A340-600 packages—based on TFS models—are planned as well. Each of these future updates will provide similarly faithful renditions, ensuring that your AI traffic reflects the Spanish flag carrier’s real-world operations with accuracy.
