Installation:
Instructions are based on the default folder locations of FSX in Windows7. Your folder locations and the specific name of your aircraft folder may be different. Adjust these instructions to fit your situation.
- Copy the "texture.ErcoupeBlueRG" folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games:
\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Ercoupe 415C-RG\ - Locate the aircraft.cfg file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games:
\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\Ercoupe 415C-RG\ - IMPORTANT: Save a backup copy of aircraft.cfg. If things go wrong you can simply copy the backup copy back into this folder to recover.
- Open aircraft.cfg in Windows Notepad (only use a plain-text editor!).
- Each [fltsim.x] section defines an aircraft. Add a new section for this repaint, using the next available number. For example, if the last aircraft definition is [fltsim.4] then add [fltsim.5].
- Add these lines to your aircraft.cfg.
- Save and close the aircraft.cfg file.
- Run FSX and fly the Classic Wings ERCO Ercoupe.

description=The ERCO Ercoupe is a low-wing monoplane aircraft that was designed and built in the United States. It was first manufactured by the Engineering and Research Corporation (ERCO) shortly before World War II; several other manufacturers continued its production after the war. The final unit was completed in 1968. It was designed to be the safest fixed-wing aircraft that aerospace engineering could provide at the time, and the type continues to enjoy a faithful following.
