This freeware Boeing 737-266 ADV package, tailored for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, features Southern Winds Airlines in its distinctive “Litoral” markings. Captivating visual accents accompany accurate scheduling for 30 domestic Argentinian routes, faithfully reflecting 2004 operations. Created by Just Flight Traffic 2004 and repainted with a refined flight model by Daniel Nole, this release incorporates a complete base model for seamless installation through Fly Away Simulation.
Historical Background of the 737-266 ADV
Originally introduced to serve both short- and medium-distance markets, the Boeing 737-200 Advanced (often referred to as the “ADV”) improved upon earlier series with upgraded engines and optimized aerodynamics. Southern Winds Airlines, once an active Argentinian carrier, deployed this airframe across core national routes. This add-on places you behind the controls of the LV-YBS variant while preserving the visual identity and essential technical nuances.
Key Improvements in This Freeware Release
- Repaint and Flight Model Revision: Crafted by Daniel Nole, a completely revised AirFile (dated 09-04-04) provides stable performance at 35,000 ft and a cruise speed of Mach 0.77.
- Route Integration: Recognized schedules for 30 major Argentinian destinations match real 2004 flight numbers and itineraries operated by Southern Winds.
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 Compatibility: Optimized to function smoothly alongside Just Flight Traffic 2004, ensuring realistic traffic recognition and consistent in-sim interactions.

Installation Procedure
Within your main simulator directory, locate the JFAIB732
folder under the aircraft directory, and consider backing up any existing files. Then, add the new textures\sdw2
folder, the updated AirFile (JFAIB732
), and the included aircraft configuration block. This ensures the improved repaint, scheduling data, and refined handling characteristics are fully integrated.
Performance Details
After applying the updated AirFile, experience enhanced flight balance at higher altitudes. The modifications let you smoothly hold Mach 0.77 at 35,000 ft without compromising realism. These performance refinements, combined with the curated domestic flight roster, provide an immersive replication of Southern Winds’ actual 737-266 ADV operations.
Developed through the collaborative efforts of Just Flight Traffic 2004 and Daniel Nole, this complete freeware release offers an authentic look at Argentinian flight corridors during the early 2000s. It is distributed exclusively as a standalone package on Fly Away Simulation.
