FSX Non-Airport Scenery For Southern Africa

Southern Africa VFR scenery enriches Kruger National Park, major harbors, Overvaal resorts, power stations, dams, and refreshed photobackground coverage with default objects and custom models that add clear visual reference points. Built for FSX, it requires the Aeroworx Southern Africa mesh for best elevation-matched terrain and vector accuracy.

Non airport scenery consists of all previous released scenery concerning Kruger National Park, South African Harbors, Overvaal resorts and all the rest. Added to this are a few more individual scenery enhancements, power stations and revamped photo background scenery, done with default objects and own designed models to act as reference points when flying VFR and enhance your southern Africa scenery. Please install FSXWORX01.ZIP, FSXWORX02.ZIP, and the updates before this scenery. By Hannes Steyn, Martin du Preez, Aeroworx.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • This scenery will work best with the Aeroworx mesh. Mesh for Southern Africa 0604,0605,0704 and 0705 and Detailed Terrain features for South Africa by Aeroworx (Be sure do download all Parts)
  • The level of the many dams and other vector data have been fine-tune to the elevations of the Aeroworx FSX Mesh.
  • You may still find some default dams to be sunken into the ground or sitting on elevated surfaces.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Hi there!

I have a problem with my FS2020. I have emailed Ian Stephens but my mail was returned "unknown". Please, could you supply me with Ian Stephen/s email address?

Otherwise, could you help me with the problem of reloading my 2020 programme?

Thanks very much! Kind regards from beautiful CapeTown, South Africa.
