Bring a touch of authentic red-and-white detail to your virtual flights with this Piper PA-32RT-300 Lance II texture set. Created by Tom Tiedman, this freeware repaint simulates the real-world registration N2184D and is designed to work seamlessly with the Paul Craig freeware model (PCPA32RT-300.ZIP and PCPA32RT-300_UPDATE.ZIP). Enthusiasts of Microsoft Flight Simulator X can enjoy this carefully painted livery that captures the unique T-tail design and characteristic lines of the Lance II.

Highlights of This Add-On

  • Realistic Livery: The vibrant red-and-white exterior is based on the genuine N2184D aircraft, ensuring detailed finishing and visual fidelity.
  • Lance II Aerodynamics: The T-tail arrangement on the PA-32RT-300 helps shift the horizontal stabilizer upward for more balanced control authority and stability.
  • Freeware Release: No purchase is necessary; however, the freeware base model by Paul Craig must be obtained separately.
  • Authentic Configuration: Incorporates the recognizable six/seven-seat layout derived from the Piper Cherokee Six lineage, but adds a retractable landing gear and greater power output.

Additional Information

The original Piper PA-32 series, introduced to serve both private and charter operations, evolved to create an airframe that combined comfortable interior space with practical performance. By shifting to a T-tail layout and retractable gear, the PA-32RT-300 Lance II offered improved handling and a clean aerodynamic profile. In this repaint, Tom Tiedman aimed to showcase the sleek silhouette and color scheme of the real N2184D, ensuring sim pilots can immerse themselves in an accurate depiction of Piper’s single-engine workhorse.

This package does not include the base model files by Paul Craig. Download the freeware model from the Fly Away Simulation mod library (search for PCPA32RT-300.ZIP and PCPA32RT-300_UPDATE.ZIP) before installing this repaint. Each file is straightforward to integrate, and once everything is in place, you will be all set to enjoy authentic flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
