Before you do "anything" PLEASE make a back up of whatever you replace! I suggest you make a complete backup of your A2A_C172 folder.

If your not sure were to locate this folder, here is the path for mine. Yours could very well be different: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_C172

Ok, now that you have found the folder, look for "texture.N7274H" and open it. You shall see the following files inside: c172_spec, c172_t, texture, & thumbnail. Now copy and paste my "c172_t" file, and overwrite the existing "c172_t".

Close everything up, start FSX. Now before you decide to fly, in your inventory, you can change the registration number to reflect the new one. This will show up on your instrument panel!
