FSX Piper PA-31 Navajo Pack

Piper PA-31 Navajo Pack. SP2 compatible and flyable compilation of Dee Waldron's freeware AI Piper PA31 Navajo from FS2004. Updated prop texture, landing gear contact points, default Baron panel and default Mooney sound. Includes paintable passenger and freighter blank models, and 18 repaints including real world, sort of real world, kind of fictional, really fictional, and downright absurd. This is the entire aircraft. Easy installation. Painted and compiled by Tom Tiedman.

This model was built with FSDS version 2.24, primarily for use as an AI model in FS2002 and FS2004's ATC traffic. It's simple, low polygon design plus 2 lower resolution LOD models make it ideal for AI traffic use.

About the Navajo...
The Piper PA31 Navajo and Navajo Chieftain were popular entry level aircraft for many upstart commuter airlines during the 1970's. Many Navajo's still fly the night sky's as light cargo and package haulers.

General Notes:
This is another one of my "community project" models.
This model is currently in development and I'll make more updates to it as I get reports from people who use it.
The textures are basic masters, 256 color (8-bit), 1024x1024 bitmap. Chrome reflections, and lightmap for night lighting are activated. User is welcome to repaint the model in any livery(s) or scheme(s) desired. Uploads of repainted models are also welcome. No prior permission is required.
If you want to modify the high-speed prop texture, don't forget to add the transparent alpha channel when you're finished. If you don't know how to modify prop textures, don't! Leave it as it is.
The lightmap texture (_L) included with this archive is a simple placeholder file. User must build their own lightmap file for end use.
Flight dynamics always seem to need improving. If anyone makes any improvements to the flight model which lets the AI model fly more realistically as a Navajo, please send me a copy and I'll include it in a future update with credits.

Update #1
The windshield had a tendency to "wash-out" in the glare of the sunlight. I've modified the windshields material to tone down the reflection.

David Carter has provided this new FD model to greatly improve the flight character of the the Navajo.

Installation
Unzip the archive directly into your flight simulator's Aircraft folder. It will automatically be setup as a regular, flyable model. To include the model in your ATC traffic, you need to use utilities such as Lee Swordy's "Traffic Tools". This is a freeware utility available at most major flight sim websites.

This aircraft model is freeware. All repaints, enhancements or modifications are welcome, but must remain free. No exceptions. User accepts all risk of use.
