Alaska Adventures for the DHC-6 Twin Otter adds ten new missions flying in Alaska and Canada in Aerosoft's outstanding Twin Otter. Developed in cooperation with the Canadian company currently building the Otter, these missions allow you to experience the amazing power and flexibility of the classic DHC-6.The DHC-6 Twin Otter is flown in both the early (100) and late (300) variants, on wheels, skis and floats. More than twelve liveries are offered, including West Coast Air and the Canadian Air Force. The cockpit and instrumentation is beautiful, and includes a detailed model of the KX 165A TSO and the KLN-90B. The manual is over 100 pages in length.
Mission complexity has increased a notch with this release, with many more random variables and player choices. Moreover, failures are randomized and range from simple vacuum system problems to full blown oil pump or engine failure.
The Canadian West coast is renowned for its rugged beauty and variety of climate zones. We have added scenic detail around many locations. Air traffic control is limited in many coastal areas, and the remoteness of locations adds to the challenge.
Missions include new scenery, a variety of voices, and the challenging conditions of Arctic weather. Canadian locations include Burwash and Whitehorse. Alaska locations include Skagway, Anchorage, Vancouver Island and more. Mission types include search and rescue, transport, homeland security and ferrying cargo and passengers. All types of weather are simulated.
Two bonus missions offer the FS X standard DHC-2 Beaver flying in Alaska. The mission package will be available through major distributors and directly through Aerosoft in both German and English.
