FSX The Most Dangerous Airports: Gibraltar Mission

Gibraltar Mission recreates the drama of landing at the Rock’s airport, where the runway meets the sea and a public road halts at traffic lights for arrivals and departures. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it includes custom Gibraltar scenery and requires the included Monarch Airlines Airbus A321 for the full mission experience.

The Most Dangerous Airports: Gibraltar. Gibraltar is situated on a peninsula on the southeast coast of Spain and has several daily flights. It also serves as an air force base. The two interesting features about this airport is the intimidating peer into the sea on the west coast and the main road crossing the runway with a set of traffic light to stop traffic during take-offs and landing. NOTES:

I have created the next in The Most Dangerous Airports Mission Series, namely Gibraltar. Gibratlar is situated on a Peninsalu on the south east coast of Spain and has several daily flights, it also serves as a air force base. The two interesting features about this airport is the intimidating peer into the sea on the west coast and the main road crossing the runway with a set of traffic light to stop traffic during take-offs and landing.

The following zip files are included in the package and need to be installed:

1. mon321.zip the Airbus A321 of Monrach Airlines one on the operators to Gibraltar Airport. Thank you George Hutton for releasing this texture upgrade for the Airbus A321.

2. gibraltar-1.zip the scenery that needs to be added, take note of the read me file inside this zip-file to add all the scenery effects required. Thank you Roger Leupold for releasing this add-on scenery.

INSTALATION:

Unzip the mission zip file into the mission directory of your FSX. Make sure your mission show captioning is ticked on. Place the Aircraft and Add-On scenery as instructed.

That's all. Enjoy the mission. I did, creating it.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place mission files

    Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
