This repaint package brings a distinctive green-and-gold color combination to a popular single-engine aircraft. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it represents a detailed recreation based on the Piper PA-32RT-300 Lance II. Created by Tom Tiedman, this repaint requires the freeware base model by Paul Craig (PCPA32RT-300.ZIP and PCPA32RT-300_UPDATE.ZIP), which you can find via the Fly Away Simulation library.
Green-and-Gold Exterior for the T-Tail Variant
The Piper Lance II, formally known as the PA-32RT-300, is a development of the Cherokee Six. It retains the same spacious cabin—accommodating up to six or seven people—while incorporating a retractable landing gear and a powerful 300 hp engine. This particular Lance II model also showcases a T-tail design (the horizontal stabilizer is placed on top of the vertical fin), which can alter elevator authority and handling dynamics, especially during takeoff and landing phases. The newly crafted green-and-gold stripes on a white fuselage accentuate the aircraft’s classic outline, giving it a refined presence both on the ground and in the air.
Highlights of the Real Aircraft
- Engine Performance: The 300 horsepower Lycoming engine delivers smooth power output, supporting dependable cruise speeds and steady rate of climb.
- Cabin Capacity: With a roomy interior, the Lance II is frequently chosen for both personal and small charter operations, thanks to its accommodating layout.
- Distinct T-Tail: The elevated tailplane maintains a cleaner airflow, although it requires mindful pitch control when operating at lower speeds.

Repaint Package Contents
This repaint set includes a specialized “texture.Green N6311T” folder featuring the bold stripes and registration details. When merged into your current installation of the Piper PA-32RT-300 Lance II, it integrates seamlessly with the aircraft selection menu under “Piper.” Your simulator will then display the vivid green-and-gold scheme, ensuring you can locate it quickly for your next flight.
Installation Procedure
- Place the enclosed texture.Green N6311T folder directly into the existing LANCE II directory.
- Open the
aircraft.cfg
file in the same folder, then add the code block below as a new entry. Adjust X to the next available number in your repaint list, then save the file. - Load your simulator and find the repaint under the Piper aircraft manufacturer listing.
- Enjoy flying your newly repainted Lance II.
