This freeware Eurocopter Tiger demonstration package, produced by A. Meyer, brings a comprehensive representation of the EC-505 helicopter variants to FS2004. It encompasses the accurate visual model, nuanced combat features, and faithful texturing to highlight the distinctive roles of the HAP, UHT, and ARH versions. Although developed for FS2004, adaptability and technical refinement make it a valuable addition for rotorcraft enthusiasts seeking to explore the performance envelope of modern multi-role attack helicopters in a virtual flight environment.
Medium-Weight Tiger Variants
Within this add-on, users will find three separate versions: the Tiger HAP, the Tiger UHT, and the Tiger ARH. These variants are modeled to demonstrate differences in armament and avionics that define their real-world military assignments. Each version replicates elements such as the modular weapon payloads, countermeasures, and sensor subsystems (infrared, TV camera, laser warning, etc.) used by various armed forces. A. Meyer designed the overall aircraft model to portray each variant’s visual and operational details effectively.

Tiger HAP Configuration
The HAP (Hélicoptère d'Appui Protection) variant is employed by the French Army for air-to-air and close fire support roles. It generally features two MTR390 turboshaft engines, sophisticated low observability measures, and a 30 mm cannon. Designed for high survivability, it has integrated systems that reduce pilot workload while maximizing target acquisition and weapon efficacy. In this add-on, the HAP variant reflects these characteristics, from the 30 mm turret to the panoramic sight containing infrared and TV optics.
Tiger UHT Specification
The UHT (Unterstützungshubschrauber Tiger) is the German Army’s multi-role support helicopter variant. It comes equipped with anti-tank missiles (Trigat or HOT) supported by a mast-mounted sight, a suite of detection sensors, and a defensive system array. A. Meyer’s representation captures its unique capabilities, such as the capacity to carry 68 mm rockets for ground suppression and optional air-to-air missiles. This emphasis on modular loadouts provides users with a realistic sense of the Tiger UHT’s battlefield flexibility.
Tiger ARH Detailing
The ARH (Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter) is the designation adopted by the Australian Army. In real-world deployments, it replaces older observational and gunship rotorcraft. Modifications include upgraded MTR390 powerplants and integration of laser-guided Hellfire II missiles. For authenticity, this package includes textures that reflect these enhancements, along with the 70 mm rockets sourced from Forges de Zeebruges. You can expect the ARH configuration to handle the nuances of high-intensity operations in simulated missions.
