FSX EKKL-Kalundborg Airport Photo Scenery

EKKL-Kalundborg Airport Photo Scenery, Denmark. Kalundborg Airport, named Kaldred, is a small regional field in a comfortable distance from the author's other photoreal airport. In the period period 1964-76, airfield operations were yearly 15,000-20,000, and in 1976 the heavier aircraft with retractable gear made it necessary to change the runway surface from grass to asphalt. In 1981, the closure of Skovlunde Airfield in the Greater Copenhagen Area moved traffic to other locations like EKRK-Roskilde, and investments were made to improve service and facilities at EKKL to attract new customers, being a the perfect hub for aircraft operations to many of the small Danish islands. For many years post and newspapers were daily transported by road from print in Copenhagen to Kaldred and flown to EKSS-Samso. Today six air companies reside in Kaldred, together with Kalundborg Flyveklub. Visit Kaldred, and be sure you will get a warm welcome, and as they say in Kalundborg Flying Club, there are always coffee in the clubhouse. The scenery is also available for FS2004. Today six Air companies reside in Kaldred, together with Kalundborg Flyveklub. Visit Kaldred, and be sure you will get a warm welcome, and as they say in Kalundborg

History
EKKL-Kaldred was approved by the Danish Authorities as class 1 Aerodrome in 1964 (Uncontrolled/self-service aerodrome), after progressive businessmen saw the potential for the field, in the light of the rabidly development in GA and Business flights. In the period 1964-76, airfield operations was yearly 15.000-20.000, and in 1976 the heavier aircrafts with retractable gear made it necessary to change the Runway surface from grass to asphalt. In 1981, the closure of Skovlunde Airfield in the Greater Copenhagen Area moved traffic to other locations like EKRK-Roskilde, and investments was made to improve service and facilities at EKKL to attract new customers, being a the perfect hub for aircraft operations to many of the small Danish islands, and for many years papers were daily transported by road from print in Copenhagen to Kaldred and flown to EKSS-Samsø (my last released airport).

The scenery is created with regards to make a joyful and easy recognizable rendering of the Real airport, both for user of the airports, and for MSFS scenery lovers. I have used nearly 100 digital photos, comprising the airport buildings very detailed, nearly all FOTOREAL within the limitation of the technology, and with the important object, to keep a good frame rate. Included are, DTX & Night textures, AFX, links to REAL Charts and info about the Airport and its habitants.

For optimal VFR flying in Denmark use the Danish VFR Scenery.

Note: For some items to show (people and planes) you need to have Aerosofts German Airfield 1 / Island hopping payware scenery installed.

Installation

Step 1:
Download and Unzip EKKLX.ZIP to a temp folder.

In the unzipped file you find two editions of EKSS (Addon Scenery);

EKKL for the Default FSX Version.

EKKL for DAN-VFR Danish Photo-scenery & Ultimate Terrain Europa X.

Step 2:
Chewse the edition you want to install (EKKL for DAN-VFR Danish Photo-scenery & Ultimate Terrain Europa X).
Or EKKL for the Default FSX Version.
Move (Drag & Drop) the Addon Scenery folder containing the version you want to install to the main FSX folder.
and say yes when asked to overwrite.

The file structure is; Microsoft flightsimulator X >Addon Scenery> EKKL-Kalundborg.

Step 3:
Go to > Settings> Scenery Library ,and add EKKL-Kalundborg.

You're done, enjoy.
