This file is a downloadable add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. It may not work on more recent versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator. It is an accurate recreation of Fano Airport (ICAO Airport Code LIDF), 1 kilometer southeast of Fano, 10 kilometers northwest of Mondolfo, Presaro and Urbano province, in the Marche region of Italy (coordinates 43°49′25.62″N 013°01′32.09″E).

It is a small public general aviation airport with no commercial airline service, and was originally built in World War Two as a temporary wartime airfield using a pierced steel planking runway and parking area. After the war, the United States Army turned the airfield over to the local government and it has been in service as a public airport since.

The scenery pack contains the airport and its immediate surroundings including hangars, trees, and lot areas surrounding the airport. This airport does not contain a large control tower and traffic pattern altitude is typically around one thousand feet.

This add-on is designed for Visual Flight Rules (VFR) only and is not intended for Instrument Flight Rule (IFR) flights. This Add-on is perfect for those looking to fly through smaller airports in Italy. Because this airport is a general aviation airport and not a commercial one, its runways are probably best used with smaller aircraft.

This airport is also ideal for helicopters. The approach is fairly flat and the airport is only several meters above sea level.

This download is in zip format and contains 36 files. It is a freeware add-on scenery package and contains easy installation instructions within the zip file. For more information please view the README file contained within the zip file. This file is intended for everyone. It was created and uploaded by Claudio Grassi.
