Find the United Airlines Denver terminal and gate concourses at KDEN, plus where to check in, how to transfer and why your assigned gate may change.
At Denver International Airport (KDEN), United Airlines uses the single Jeppesen Terminal for check-in, mainly on the west side. Its flights depart primarily from Concourse B, with additional United gates on Concourse A. Gate assignments change by flight, so confirm the letter and number on your boarding pass or the airport displays.

Does United use all of Concourse B?
United is the dominant operator in Concourse B, but an individual B gate is not permanently tied to one flight or aircraft type. Dispatchers may change the assignment because of aircraft size, arrival delays, maintenance, towing requirements or another gate still being occupied.
United Express services are not guaranteed a separate commuter area, and a regional aircraft may use either concourse where a suitable position is available. How do you reach United’s A and B gates?
Concourse B is reached from Jeppesen Terminal by Denver’s underground airport train. There is no public walking route from the terminal to B.
Concourse A is served by the same train and also has pedestrian bridge access through the appropriate terminal routing. When connecting between A and B, remain inside security and follow the train signs; there is no need to return to baggage reclaim.
What should you do if the United gate changes?
Both A and B are valid United locations at Denver, so an A-to-B or B-to-A change is not necessarily an error.
- Check the operating carrier. A United-marketed codeshare may follow the other airline’s gate arrangements.
- Use the latest display. Recheck the concourse and gate after security rather than relying on an older screenshot or printed pass.
- Stay airside. Use the underground train for an A–B transfer; do not follow signs towards terminal exit or baggage reclaim.
- Allow for the concourse change. DEN’s concourses are long, and reaching the train platform plus the new gate takes additional time.
Which United gate should you choose in a flight simulator?
For an unscheduled United flight at KDEN, we recommend selecting a suitable Concourse B gate by default. Use Concourse A when reproducing a specific flight assigned there, or when no correctly sized B position is available.
Match the parking position to the aircraft rather than choosing solely by airline: a regional jet needs an appropriate smaller stand, while a wide-body requires sufficient wingspan clearance and suitable passenger facilities. Airport diagrams show gate locations but do not guarantee airline ownership or simulator compatibility.
A common failure is trying to use a modern real-world gate that does not exist in older scenery. For compatible legacy simulator installations, an optional KDEN AFCAD with airline-coded parking can improve AI assignments, but its layout should not be treated as a present-day gate list. Avoid loading multiple KDEN airport-layout files together, as overlapping AFCAD data can create duplicate buildings, broken taxi routes or conflicting parking assignments.
