Which KLAX map should you use?
No single KLAX map covers passenger facilities, aircraft taxi routes and live gate assignments. Passenger information normally uses the IATA code LAX, while pilot charts identify the airport by its ICAO code, KLAX.

Does the FAA KLAX airport diagram show every gate?
No. The FAA airport diagram shows the operational airfield layout, but it is not a detailed passenger gate directory.
It identifies KLAX’s runway complexes, taxiway names, hot spots, ramp areas and major terminal outlines. Individual jet bridges, terminal doors and airline allocations may be omitted or simplified. Never use a passenger terminal map for aircraft taxiing; it lacks the markings, holding points and movement-area detail required by pilots.
A gate number also does not prove that the stand is available or suitable for a particular aircraft. Real assignments change with aircraft size, towing activity, delays and airline operations, while ground-control instructions take precedence over a saved map.
What does the LAX terminal layout look like?
LAX’s main passenger terminals are arranged around the U-shaped World Way roadway, with Terminal B—the Tom Bradley International Terminal—at the western end and the numbered terminals extending around the loop.
The West Gates are located farther west and connect with Terminal B through a passenger passage. Distances on simplified diagrams can be deceptive, so passengers should use the official terminal map to check security checkpoints, airside connections, baggage claim and the correct roadway level.
How do you find the correct KLAX gate in a flight simulator?
The correct simulator gate is the parking position defined by the installed airport data, which may not match a modern real-world LAX map.
