Experience an in-depth simulation of the iconic British turboprop airliner in a single freeware package, carefully adapted for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and originally crafted for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. This release features detailed cockpit enhancements, accurate engine modeling, and comprehensive documentation, all designed by developers Rick Piper, Garry Russell, and Fraser McKay.
Notable Turboprop Evolution
Developed as one of the earliest passenger turboprop aircraft, the Vickers Viscount 800 distinguished itself with short- to medium-range capabilities and advanced Rolls-Royce Dart 6 510 engines. In real-world service throughout the 1950s and beyond, it offered smoother performance than many piston-driven airliners of the same era. With this add-on, you can explore that unique power curve and flight handling, reflecting the authentic fine-tuning of this historically significant airliner.

Advanced Panel Configuration
Five distinct instrument panel layouts are included to represent the various iterations of the 800 series. Each cockpit arrangement delivers crisp, high-resolution gauges and upgraded panel bitmaps optimized for IFR-focused operations. Added realism comes from extensive data on systems, with interactive visual cues that replicate genuine avionics behavior. Multiple vantage points enhance situational awareness, ensuring you can configure the flight deck to match the exact series you prefer.
Immersive Flight Deck and Systems
All systems are aligned with the real aircraft’s parameters, from engine spool dynamics to pressurization controls. This iteration introduces revised flight dynamics, leveraging feedback from real pilot references to strengthen authenticity. You will notice refined spool times, propeller drag effects, and adjusted pitch settings suitable for replication of the Dart 6 510 turboprops. Additionally, newly remastered cockpit sounds, along with carefully balanced engine audio, heighten the sense of immersion throughout your journey.
Airline Textures and Liveries
This comprehensive set features liveries for Aer Lingus, BEA, British Airways, British Air Ferries, BKS, Northeast, Cambrian, BUA, Eagle Airways, Gibair, and Air Bridge Carriers. Each repaint showcases weathering, reflective surfaces, and signature markings consistent with the real-world aircraft. Whether you prefer the classic green tail of Aer Lingus or the heritage feel of British Air Ferries, these authentic color schemes allow you to recreate historic routes across a wide range of domestic and international operations.
Complete Documentation
Full instructions accompany the package, providing an operational manual, procedural checklists, and an onboard reference guide. These resources walk you through start-up procedures, flight parameters, and landing configurations with precision. Each reference point is tailored to assist both experienced and novice flight sim users who are keen to master turboprop operations in a historically significant airliner.

Very Good work. Excellent flying characteristics. Better than the original sim.
