This repaint package showcases Eagle Helicopter’s distinctive HB-ZES livery for the payware Nemeth Design Aerospatiale AS350B3 series in FSX. It is provided as freeware and was carefully crafted by Valentin Rime to enhance the visual fidelity of this well-known single-engine utility rotorcraft. While it offers compatibility with both the base installation and corresponding expansion pack, please remember that the underlying AS350B3 payware model must be obtained separately.
Repaint Characteristics and Highlights
The Aerospatiale AS350 (also referred to as the Ecureuil or AStar in various regions) is appreciated for its versatility in real-world operations, from scenic tours to specialized logistical support. This new livery replicates the Eagle Helicopter color scheme, emphasizing authentic markings and carefully aligned details that stand out during flight and ramp activities. By integrating this repaint, you can experience a convincing rendition of the HB-ZES variant, making every virtual flight all the more immersive.

Three Distinct Model Variations
This release accommodates separate configurations, each supporting alternate functionalities:
- AS350B3_trans: A standard transport layout that focuses on general-purpose flying tasks.
- AS350B3_hoist: A specialized arrangement equipped with a hoist mechanism for cargo transportation and other utility missions. This version requires the “AS350 Ecureuil expansion pack” from Nemeth Design.
- AS350B3_hoist_b: An additional heliski-oriented variant, also relying on the “AS350 Ecureuil expansion pack” for proper operation.
Installation Steps and Configuration
- 1. AS350B3_trans
-
- Copy the texture.eagle folder to your “AS350B3_trans” directory, often found under the SimObjects/Rotorcraft path in your FSX installation.
- Open the included “add_to_aircraft_cfg” text file, and paste those entries into the aircraft.cfg within the same folder.
- Replace “xx” under the [fltsim.xx] section with the next available numerical index in that file.
- 2. AS350B3_hoist
-
- Move the texture.eagle folder into the “AS350B3_hoist” directory under SimObjects/Rotorcraft.
- Insert the provided “add_to_aircraft_cfg” lines into the corresponding aircraft.cfg, ensuring you update the [fltsim.xx] value as described above.
- Confirm that you have acquired the required expansion pack; otherwise, this variation will not function as intended.
- 3. AS350B3_hoist_b
-
- Place the texture.eagle folder into the “AS350B3_hoist_b” directory, again following the standard SimObjects path.
- Append the additional lines from “add_to_aircraft_cfg” to your aircraft.cfg, making sure “xx” matches the next incremental index.
- Verify that the “AS350 Ecureuil expansion pack” is installed so heliski features work correctly.
Additional Notes and Developer Acknowledgment
All three repaints were painstakingly designed by Valentin Rime to deliver an accurate in-simulator depiction of Eagle Helicopter’s AS350B3 livery. Since the base aircraft is a payware product by the team at Nemeth Design, you will need to purchase their model separately from a reputable store. This repaint set does not contain the original payware files.
Enjoy a more immersive experience when flying this iconic helicopter across various simulated missions, whether you are exploring mountainous regions or managing specialized transport tasks.
