Discover a high-resolution repaint of the Iris PC-21 payware model, presented as a fictional Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) trainer. Created by Dirk Hueschelrath, these enhanced textures showcase a distinctive red and gray scheme inspired by modern military instructor aircraft. Available are two different texture sizes—one set at 32-bit 4096×4096 (65 MB), another at 32-bit 2048×2048 (16 MB)—allowing you to select the best option for optimal performance in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

Key Texture Features

  • Multiple Texture Options: High-fidelity 4096×4096 set or a more compact 2048×2048 set.
  • Accurate Color Gradient: Custom red and gray palette representing a notional Danish Air Force scheme.
  • Detailed Markings: Service insignia and unique air force markings neatly incorporated.

Brief Insight Into the Aircraft and Livery

The Pilatus PC-21 is recognized globally for its efficient single-turboprop configuration, merging jet-like handling with the advantages of a turboprop platform. It is widely used as an advanced trainer across various air forces to streamline pilot transition to frontline aircraft. While the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) does not formally operate the PC-21, this repaint imagines a scenario in which such a trainer might feature the distinctive Danish insignia. The RDAF itself is known for operating versatile fleets suited to the defense and deterrence roles of the Danish nation.

Payware Model Requirement

Please note that this repaint does not include the base payware IRIS PC-21. You will need to purchase and install the original IRIS PC-21 product separately to use these Royal Danish Air Force textures. Dirk Hueschelrath developed and refined this package for both flight simulator enthusiasts and those seeking a distinctive RDAF-style repaint in their personal hangar.
