This specialized repaint offers a faithful depiction of the United Arab Emirates Air Force’s F-16E Block 60, intended for the payware Aerosoft F-16C CFT package and created by S. Peterson. It combines authentic camouflage patterns with detailed markings, aligning precisely with the advanced “Desert Falcon” variant used in frontline service.
Distinctive Middle Eastern Theming
The real-world UAEAF flies single-seat F-16E aircraft and twin-seat F-16F variants, widely referred to as Desert Falcons. They are stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, working in parallel with French-built Mirage 2000-9 fighters. Increasingly, these jets have been involved in critical operations across the Middle East, most notably over Libya and parts of Syria. This repaint reflects those operational nuances by incorporating carefully matched color schemes and unit insignia.

Technical Notes for Microsoft Flight Simulator X
The original F-16C CFT model by Aerosoft brings unique modeling features, such as conformal fuel tanks (CFTs) that extend range without external tanks. This Block 60 upgrade depicted in the repaint showcases an enhanced engine configuration and avionics suite. Pilots in Microsoft Flight Simulator X can experience agile handling alike to the real F-16’s 9G capabilities, with greater fuel efficiency afforded by integrated CFTs. The visuals are adapted to match the subtle color transitions observed on real UAEAF aircraft.
Key Mod Requirements
- Payware Aerosoft F-16C CFT base model (not included). You must acquire or already own this product to use the repaint.
- Compatibility with Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Please ensure your simulator is set up with the required expansions to run complex fighter jet models effortlessly.
Step-by-Step Installation Procedure

Additional Insights
The F-16E designation highlights potent radar systems and improved cockpit interfaces that bolster performance. By including these technical details in the repaint, S. Peterson captures the distinctive mechanical and aesthetic attributes of a genuine Desert Falcon. This customization enriches the simulated flying experience, offering both realistic in-flight visuals and a nod to the UAEAF’s notable presence in contemporary air operations.
