See which Airbus A330 versions are in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, what MSFS 2020 includes, and how to fly the A330-900neo or MRTT.
Yes. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 includes flyable Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 passenger aircraft, plus the A330-743L BelugaXL. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 has no stock A330, but PC add-ons provide variants such as the A330-900neo and military A330 MRTT. The available versions therefore depend on the simulator generation and installed content.
Which Airbus A330 versions are included in MSFS 2024?
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 supplies three distinct A330 airframes in its core aircraft fleet.
| Aircraft | Type | Choose it for |
|---|---|---|
| Airbus A330-200 | Passenger wide-body | The shorter-fuselage conventional A330 |
| Airbus A330-300 | Passenger wide-body | Greater passenger capacity and the longer A330 fuselage |
| Airbus A330-743L BelugaXL | Outsize cargo aircraft | Specialised cargo operations and unusual handling |
These aircraft are part of the MSFS 2024 Standard fleet, so they are also present in the higher editions. The -200 and -300 belong to the original-engine A330 family, often called the A330ceo; neither is an A330-900neo wearing a different name.
The BelugaXL is an A330-derived outsize transporter. It is not the conventional A330-200F freighter and should not be confused with the military MRTT tanker.
Is there a default Airbus A330 in MSFS 2020?
No edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 includes a default Airbus A330. The official fleet gained an Airbus A310 through an update, but that aircraft is a different generation and not an A330.
On PC, an add-on is required. Our freeware A330-900neo package with airline liveries provides the newer, longer A330neo variant. Other A330-200 and -300 add-ons may exist, but their cockpit systems, flight models and simulator compatibility depend on the individual package.
Can you fly the A330neo and A330 MRTT?
The A330-900neo and A330 MRTT are flyable through add-ons rather than as stock MSFS 2020 aircraft.
- A330-900neo: Choose this when you specifically want the modern neo airframe rather than MSFS 2024's standard A330-200 or -300.
- A330 MRTT: Our military A330 MRTT package with tanker features covers French, RAF, RAAF and Spanish configurations. The real MRTT is derived from the A330-200.
The A330-800, A330-200F, A330-900neo and MRTT are not part of the built-in MSFS 2024 A330 selection. They require separate add-ons where compatible. Check each file's supported simulator, dependencies and installation notes rather than assuming every MSFS 2020 aircraft will work correctly in MSFS 2024.
Why is the Airbus A330 missing from the aircraft selector?
A missing A330 usually means the wrong simulator generation is being checked, an aircraft filter is active, or an add-on has been installed incorrectly.
- Confirm the simulator: MSFS 2020 does not contain a stock A330. MSFS 2024 contains the -200, -300 and BelugaXL.
- Clear aircraft filters: Search for
Airbus,A330andBeluga. The BelugaXL may be grouped with cargo aircraft rather than passenger airliners. - Check the base content: Complete pending simulator updates and confirm that the supplied aircraft packages are available and enabled in MSFS 2024's content library.
- Fix the add-on folder structure: On PC, extract the download into the active
Communityfolder. A common mistake is leaving the package zipped or adding an extra nested folder;manifest.jsonandlayout.jsonshould sit at the package's top level. - Account for console restrictions: Xbox and PlayStation cannot use PC Community-folder downloads. Console users can fly MSFS 2024's supplied A330s or compatible content distributed inside the simulator.
