This is an FSX update for the Alphasim Lockheed C-5 Galaxy. The package features a modified and enhanced VC which now has more gauges added than the default VC had. The panel has corrected popup windows for the autopilot and other gauges as well. In addition, four repaints by different authors are included in the package. Also, the aircraft now has new smoke effect. Original model by Alphasim, repaints by unknown authors, camera views by Erwin Welker and new panel modification and smoke effect by Michael Pook.

Installation:

  • In the case you already have this aircraft, make a backup first. Remove it from your main FSX aircraft directory and replace it with mine.
  • Copy the gauges in the gauges folder into you main gauges directory and the smoke effect into the main effects directory (no need to overwrite).

I got through one flight, landed, shut down the engines, and now I am not able to restart the engines. N2 readings get to about a 1/4, but never go any higher and n1 engine readings don't come online at all. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Ctrl+E does not seem to work, nor do the engine start buttons on the 2d panel.

Had the original for over 10 years, it's a fantastic change inside and out, and I must say the entire interior and instrumentation is fantastic.

Nice to have all of the instrumentation and the much smoother realistic virtual panels. Great work.

On the C-5 Galaxy update VC good, nothing works. On the cockpit all gauges are dark?
