FSX Kasos Airport Scenery

Kasos Airport (LGKS) scenery restores a realistic runway and airport layout on Kasos Island in south-eastern Greece for FSX, eliminating the floating-runway issue seen with some coastline and terrain products. It corrects the Airport Reference Point, runway dimensions, markings, and alignment, and adds a small eastern parking area.

A single-engine aircraft flies above a coastal runway bordered by blue water on one side and dense green forest on the other.

Kasos Airport. Scenery for the airport of Kasos Island, situated in south - eastern Greece. If you use the "Greek coastlines" scenery (GRCOASTL.ZIP) and/or the "Ultimate Teraain X-Europe" by Flight One Software and have flown over Kasos, you may probably have noticed that almost half of the runway is "floating" on the sea surface. These files fix this bug. In addition the ARP (Airport Reference Point) of the airport and the dimensions, markings and position of the runway are corrected. Finally a small parking area was added near the eastern end of the runway, as it is in the real airport. By P. Tsekouras.

Kasos Airport Scenery.

This scenery was installed and tested using FSX -Deluxe Edition + Acceleration Pack -SP2.

INSTALATION:
1. Just unzip the two (2) BGL files (LGKS_ADE_PT.bgl and LGKS_ADE_PT_CVX.bgl) in a temporary location and then, cut and paste them into the Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery/scenery folder.

2. Start up the Flight sim and the changes will be present.

UNINSTALATION:
Just delete the two bgl files.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
