Wiley Post Hangar Project Scenery

About 75 years ago, Wiley Post and his Austrailian friend Harold Gatty set an aviation record. They flew around the world, only stopping for fuel and repairs in 8 days, 51 hours, and 51 minutes, breaking a record set by the Graf Zeppelin, a lighter than air craft.

Live ATC Chatter is program for Flight Simulator that allows you to listen to live real-time Air Traffic Control streams within the simulator. It connects via the internet to the ATC streams and then projects the audio in Flight Simulator. Although Live ATC does not come with any ATC streams, you can download them freely at liveatc.net.

Dolomynum version 1.2.0 was released on 10th May 2008. It is an independent and lightweight open source application for online simmers to check the status of FSD-based online flying networks such as IVAO and VATSIM (similar to the Servinfo or WhazzUp software).

FS11 - Microsoft Flight Simulator 11

Well, it's been said, as written on Phil Taylor's blog that we should expect a Microsoft Flight Simulator 11 at the end of 2010, perhaps in good time for 2011 and possibly being called FS11 or Microsoft Flight Simulator 11.  The official name for the next version of Flight Sim has still to be confirmed.  We've collected some comments and views about the next flight simulator and posted them with this article.

SceneryTech North America Landclass Updated (FSX)

In their ongoing effort to polish their scenery products as much possible, SceneryTech has once again revisited their North America Landclass and updated it to version 1.4. This version focuses on addressing anomalies with the urban layer that were caused by gaps and errors in the source data, while also improving the natural layer in the areas of California and Eastern Canada.  This scenery is for Flight Simulator X.

FDN Releases Central Florida GA Airports

Ruud Faber of FScene Design Network informed us that they have released their first product. He reports: Our first title "Central Florida GA Airfields, Volume 1" is an enhancement to a whole range of small Florida airfields that were left completely barren in FSX. The developer Joe Watson has added 'life' to the fields by placing many objects, as one would find in real life.

Flight Mediterranean AutoGen covers the Southern part of France from Marseille to Perpignan (about 20,000 km sq.) with photorealistic textures. Each of the default airport platforms on the scenery have been reworked in order to closely fit the photo texture with precisely aligned taxiways, buildings, and objects, greatly enhancing these from the standard Flight Simulator 2004 fare.
