This freeware package provides a detailed repaint of the Yakovlev Yak-18 in the markings of the German Democratic Republic, identified as DM-WBF. Developed by B. Lechner, this texture set is designed for the base model created by “SWingman.” Enthusiasts will find it adds a unique historic variation to the classic Soviet-era trainer within FSX.

Overview

The Yakovlev Yak-18 (sometimes referred to as a primary trainer [aeronautical term for an initial instruction aircraft]) saw extensive use in flight schools across several nations, including the former East Germany. With this repaint, you can explore the DM-WBF variant, recognized for its distinctive green color scheme. Since this release only includes external textures, you will need the original Yak-18 model provided by “SWingman” for proper installation.
