- Locate your FS2004 installation path at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\Douglas_DC3.
- Copy the newly created Texture.faucett folder into the Douglas_DC3 aircraft folder.
- If any textures are missing, copy those from another DC-3 texture.x folder to ensure completeness.
- Open your aircraft.cfg (found in the same Douglas_DC3 directory) and add the following entry:
[fltsim.x]
title=Douglas DC-3 Faucett
sim=Douglas_DC3
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=faucett
kb_checklists=Douglas_DC3_check
kb_reference=Douglas_DC3_ref
atc_id=
atc_id_color=0x000000
ui_manufacturer=Douglas
ui_type="DC-3
ui_variation="Faucett Peru"
description="The Douglas DC-3 revolutionised air transportation and airline service during the 1930s and 1940s. It was a luxury airliner that boasted cabin heat and running water in its on-board lavatory. With the right balance of efficiency, range, speed, and payload, the DC-3 was the first aircraft to earn a profit for its owners just by carrying passengers. The hero of early airlines, a handful of DC-3s are still at work today."
- Be sure to replace
[fltsim.x]
with the correct sequence number for this repaint within your aircraft.cfg. For example, if this is your third variation, it should read[fltsim.3]
.
