This freeware add-on showcases an unmarked exterior look for the payware A2A Simulations Boeing 377 Stratocruiser in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Prepared by Sean Doran, it provides a texture set with no external registrations or airline branding, offering a blank slate for specialized flights or custom missions. It maintains the unique proportions of the Stratocruiser—descended from Boeing’s wartime C-97 concept—and underscores the aircraft’s iconic status in the piston-engine era.
Key Aspects of This Repaint
Being a texture-only package, it preserves the payware’s original model and systems by A2A Simulations. Enthusiasts who enjoy cargo or private-variant operations will find this unmarked livery effective for simulating a wide range of scenarios, as it replicates the look of a clean airframe that never received official insignias.

Historical Background on the Boeing 377
Derived from the large-scale design approach Boeing had pioneered with the B-29 Superfortress, the 377 Stratocruiser stands out due to its elevated flight deck, pressurized cabin, and four robust Pratt & Whitney R-4360 Wasp Major radial engines. Although it brought excellent range and capacity—surpassing rivals like the Douglas DC-7—it was ultimately affected by the economics of its large radial engines. Production, which ended by 1950, highlights its distinctive place in aviation history.
Installation Procedure
After downloading, locate the included texture.Unmarked
folder and drop it into the following path:

Next, edit your aircraft.cfg located in the same WoS_B377 directory. Copy the snippet below and paste it directly under the existing [fltsim] entries. Ensure you replace the “x” in [fltsim.x]
with the appropriate sequential number.

description=Like the C-97, the 377 was developed towards the end of World War II by adapting an enlarged upper fuselage onto the lower fuselage and wings which were essentially the same as the B-50 Superfortress, the high-performance evolution of the B-29 Superfortress bomber. The 377 was larger and longer ranged than the Lockheed Constellation and Douglas DC-7, with nonstop transatlantic range, but the P&W R-4360 Wasp Major engines proved uneconomical, with production ending in 1950.
