FSX Boeing 377 Update

Boeing 377 Stratocruiser refinement brings smoother handling and a refreshed 2D panel tailored for Microsoft Flight Simulator X Acceleration, delivering reliable operation without a virtual cockpit. Updated flight dynamics and configuration files sharpen performance and realism while preserving the classic Mike Stone model, and it requires the original SB3771.ZIP package.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This is an update for FSX Acceleration of the Boeing 377 by Mike Stone. The author has updated the flight dynamics and the panel (no virtual cockpit) so it works in FSX. You need the original aircraft for this update to work (SB3771.ZIP). By Bob Chicilo.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. After backing up your air and aircraft.cfg files replace them with the ones in this update. Back up your panel folder and copy the panel folder and the picture to the aircraft folder. Copy the .cab file in the gauges folder to the main FS gauges folder. No need to overwrite anything already there.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Hello, I have Steam FSX and would like the Boeing 377 aircraft, but the upgrades all require the base model, which are not available for STEAM. Is there a base for STEAM I can start with?

    Thank you,
    Brian
