Aircraft Specifications and Focus
The DC-9 family was conceived for short- to medium-haul operations, enabling jet service on shorter runways previously restricted to propeller-driven flights. This series 10 variant features a 104.4 ft (31.8 m) fuselage, generally accommodating up to 90 passengers, with around 600 cubic feet of cargo capacity beneath its main deck. Its 89.4 ft (27.2 m) wingspan, combined with powerful Pratt & Whitney JT8D-5 or JT8D-7 engines, provides takeoff thrust ratings topping 14,000 pounds. This specific repaint also captures the fuselage markings for DC-9 no.67 operated by Northwest Airlines.
Visual Details and Authorship
These textures, crafted by Frank Idone, represent the distinctive Northwest Airlines color scheme, which holds significance in aviation history. By installing this repaint, simmers can replicate the authentic look of N8911E while enjoying the compact efficiency and agile handling of the DC-9 design. Although this modification is comprehensive for external details, it is textures only and requires the original freeware model from SGA.

- Accurate Airline Markings
