Editorial

Whilst always a fan of the work carried out by Microsoft, FSX had some pretty average meshing. Thankfully, the community has always found good ways around improving these objects. With the help of great mods, you can improve the meshing worldwide with just a few combinations.

Or, alternatively, you could try out this European mesh that covers a massive selection of the continent.

Since many of us will spend a lot of time flying to and from Europe, it should look wonderful. These new meshes will help to do just that, adding vibrancy and life where previously none existed.

Fantastic Coverage

This is very important, and should be very useful for including a wide mesh across the European landscape in general. Included in this set is of SRTM 3 is the mesh files for large swathes of the continent. This is a package that provides a massive amount of improvements, and I just felt like the world below looked a lot sharper.

Finding all of the changes and additions within the meshes was quite difficult, but say to say it’s a major difference. It helps to blend the continent together better, and gives it a far more distinctive, telling feel. Not only does this go a pretty long way in terms of realism, but it just adds greater enjoyment.

A Meaningful End Product

Having installed this on a clean install, I immediately noticed an upturn in graphical quality. The land looked less jagged and far less stapled together. The improvement is almost immediately noticeable. One thing I will caution on, though, is the relative hit that it could lead to in performance.

Whilst my machine noticed next to no dropping, those with low to medium quality hardware may experience a bit of a drop when playing.

Regardless, this should be downloaded. Whether you have used SRTM scenery before or you are looking for your first add-on, this should be given a go. It goes a long way to adding a depth that wasn’t there previously.

When flying over such an important and wide-reaching part of the world, it should look the best that it can!

Hello, where should we install mesh Europe for my FSX? Scenery or scenery addon? I thank you cordially. Phil.

Hi, @john link!

After you've signed up you have to log in (sign-in) again. Then simply search for this mesh scenery and click on "Download". I think that you have to stay logged in during the full download.

OK, I signed up for Pro. Now I want to download the Euro Mesh add-on. But there's no place to do that---only a place to sign up for Pro to get the add-on.

Where can I get it?

Thanks
