Editorial
This simple mod was one that I only had to try for a few hours to know its value – this is a very impressive set of changes that really does help make the old F-16C come to life. This remake takes on the famous Boyce from Syracuse design and makes sure that your representation of the Flying Falcon is spot on.
The Design
One thing that deeply impresses me is the fact that this aircraft carries such a specifically enjoyable selection of changes to the model. They all come together and make sure that the whole experience can feel fair and honest. The quality of the design is something really impressive which gives you a deeper and much fairer appreciation of the hard work involved with flying an aircraft like this.
If you want to learn and understand what makes the USAF panels included in here so popular, just check them out. They are easy to understand and fly with and they also provide you with a very fair level of realism. If you are like me and enjoy a bit of authenticity in your FS downloads then this is worth a shot.
The model is brilliantly detailed and well in scale so you can really learn about what makes this such a fun aircraft to fly. The cockpit is true to its word whilst offering an honest, fair dynamic of what makes FS2002 still so much fun to use!
The Performance
Although just based on the original F-16C it still feels like a major amount of fun to fly around with. I did find that it was a bit choppy in future simulators but for anyone who uses FS2002 this might be worth having for a new and engaging texture.
I find that FS2002 looks so dated that it’s very hard to use but little mods like this help you to change that and make the simulator a little easier than ever before.
One thing that should spring to mind is the fact that the performance levels you get from this should be super high as it’s all planned and prepared to work with FS2002. If you aren’t using a machine which is strong enough to handle FS2002 at its best then you might want to consider making a little upgrade or two – this mod, though, should be a fine little bridge for those too used to the luxuries of more modern simulation add-ons.
