CFAS Quest Kodiak (fictional). Three repaints for Lionheart Creations Quest Kodiak for a fictional 'Central Florida Air Services' commuter airline. one passenger, one passenger with pod, and one amphibian paint are included. Lionheart Creations Quest Kodiak is required to use these files. By George V. Trovato.

Important:
You MUST own and have properly installed the Lionheart Creations Quest Kodiak for these paints to work. The paints were designed for FSX, and have not been tested and may not work in FS2004. If you do not own Lionheart's Kodiak, I'd strongly recommend visiting the Lionheart Creations website for more information about this plane, as well as purchasing information.
I am in no way affiliated, employed, or endorsed by Lionheart Creations, just a huge fan of his Kodiak. :)
Information:
This is a set of paints for a fictional small airline that I'm calling Central Florida Air Services. All three paints share the same colors and scheme, but each aircraft contains a unique registration number and 'name'. This allows for all three variations to be available on three different model bodies, while maintaining a level of uniqueness to each.
Installation:
Copy the "Kodiak" and "Kodiak_Floatplane" folders into your "\SimObjects\Airplanes" folder.
To activate these aircraft in FSX, you will need to copy the text below, and paste it into each aircraft.cfg file as the next aircraft entry. Remember to change the XX (in the fltsim.XX section of each aircraft) to the next higher number in sequence, based on the highest numbered aircraft entry that already exists in your aircraft.cfg file.
For example, if the last aircraft entry in your aircraft.cfg is [fltsim.39], and you were adding two aircraft entries, the XX for those paints would need to be replaced with 40 and 41 (respectively) so that they would read [fltsim.40] and [fltsim.41].
The first section below contains the aircraft.cfg additions for the Passenger and Passenger with Pod variants. The second section contains the aircraft.cfg additions for the Passenger Amphibian variant.
TO ACTIVATE THE PASSENGER AND PASSENGER WITH POD VARIANTS:
Browse to your Kodiak folder (found in "\SimObjects\Airplanes\Kodiak") and edit your aircraft.cfg file, using a text editor such as Notepad (Do NOT use Wordpad).
COPY AND PASTE THE CODE BELOW, CHANGING THE 'XX' AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

Additional Install Information:
The following information only applies to people who may choose to install only one of the paints, instead of all three. If you are installing all three variants, just follow the instructions above, and skip over this section. If you decide to only install one of these repaints, you will either need to copy the zip file's "Kodiak\texture.CFAS_Shared" folder to your FSX "Kodiak" folder. Or, you can manually copy the files from the zip file's "Kodiak\texture.CFAS_Shared" to the texture folder of the repaint you chose to use.
If you choose the second method, you will need to edit the texture.cfg file for that repaint, and remove the "fallback.1=..\..\Kodiak\texture.CFAS_Shared" entry, and then re-number the remaining fallback.# entries. This step is required, since all three variants share the same base paint. I chose to use a 'shared' folder for the common textures, in order to reduce redundancy and to save space. The shared folder contains 9MB of textures which, if included in each variant's individual texture folders, would be a total of 27MB instead of just the 9 (since there are three variants.) Obviously that's a savings of 18MB, leaving that much more room available for other repaints.
If you're installing more than one variant, it's highly recommended that you just install the "texture.CFAS_Shared" folder into FSX's "Kodiak" folder and call it a day.
