Christchurch Small Airfields scenery brings three nearby GA fields to life around Christchurch, New Zealand, adding NZWL West Melton and NZFF Forest Field while updating the default NZRT Rangiora for tighter regional flying near NZCH. Built for FSX, it supports Canterbury Aero Club-style operations with refreshed layouts suited to training circuits and short hops.

Hello, im Troy Chapman. In this scenery i have included NZWL-West Melton;NZRT-Rangiora(updated version from FSX default); and NZFF-Forest Field. These airfields are all in Christchurch/Canterbury. They are all very close to NZCH-Christchurch international airport. The Canterbury Aero Club operate out of these airfields, mainly NZRT
and NZWL.

How To Install The Scenery.

Copy ALL of the contents in the 'scenery' folder which you have just downloaded. Paste them into your FSX\addon scenery\scenery folder. That should do it.

My Future Scenery Project.

I am currently working on NZCH airport, i have modelled the Canterbury-Aero Club in Gmax and have placed it in FSX, i am just trying to work through some problems with the jetways right now, but other than that it is going good. When i release that scenery of NZCH airport i will include the airport charts for the airfields which i will include, which will be NZCH, NZWL, NZRT, NZFF and hopefully NZWG. I will also include Canterbury Aero Club textures for the FSX default Cessna 172 and Beech Baron 58 aircraft.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
