West Virginia scenery refreshes the entire state with updated land and water features, using LWM and VTP data to better define streams, shorelines, and terrain boundaries for more convincing low-level flying. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it blends neatly into existing scenery and supports optional terrain.cfg tweaks to tailor default river textures.

Place West Virginia FSX in FSX Root:
FSX \West Virginia or move West Virginia Scenery files to Addon Scenery Scenery folder.
This is Freeware you may enjoy or destroy or pass it along.
This scenery made possable by Chris Wright and his AutoAsm and TerraScene and USGS Datga files.
To remove default streams Edit TERRAIN.CFG:
Texture.0 , and Texture.1
Textures=RiverSU.bmp to [Textures=RiverSU.bmp]
Map is coverage area.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
