Approach coverage at Muir AHP

All three published instrument approaches at Muir AHP are helicopter procedures, and every one serves the same runway end. The set combines one ILS with localiser coverage and two RNAV (GPS) approaches. This provides both ILS/localiser and GPS-based choices, but no published approach to the opposite runway end and no separate fixed-wing instrument approach. Beyond arrivals, the cycle includes a departure procedure, an airport diagram and a minimums sheet, extending the coverage to departure planning and ground layout without broadening the single-ended approach pattern.

Common questions about KMUI

What charts are available for KMUI?

6 current FAA charts for Muir Ahp, including 3 instrument approachs, 1 departure procedure, 1 airport diagram. All are free to download as PDFs from this page, from the 6 August 2026 cycle.

How long is the runway at KMUI?

Muir Ahp has 5 runways. The longest is 07/25 at 3,981 ft by 98 ft, asphalt. Full runway dimensions, lighting and approach aids are listed on this page.

Does KMUI have an ILS approach?

Yes — 1 ILS procedure is published. In total KMUI has 3 published instrument approaches, of which 2 are RNAV (GPS).

Where can I download the KMUI airport diagram?

The official FAA airport diagram for Muir Ahp is free to download at the top of this page. It shows runways, taxiways, ramp layout and hold-short positions, and is reissued every 28 days.

Which runway do instrument approaches serve at KMUI?

Every published approach serves one runway end. There is no instrument procedure to the reciprocal direction, so an arrival in instrument conditions commits to that single approach direction regardless of the wind.

Is KMUI a towered airport?

Yes. Muir Ahp has an operating control tower, within New York Center's airspace. Tower, ground and clearance frequencies are listed on this page.

How many runways does KMUI have?

5, which is why the chart set is as large as it is — each runway end that supports an instrument approach needs its own plates. The runway diagram on this page shows the layout to scale.

Are these KMUI charts current?

They are from the FAA cycle effective 6 August 2026, which is superseded on 3 September 2026. We publish each new cycle on its effective date. They are for flight simulation and reference only — not for real-world navigation.
