FSX Barton To Cardiff Mission Update

Barton to Cardiff recreates a real-world July 1995 VFR trip as a relaxed summer mission, now updated to fix a flight plan location error and bundled with all required files. Designed for FSX and tailored for either default or photo-realistic England and Wales scenery, it requires SP2 or Acceleration Pack.

This is an update to Barton to Cardiff, July 1995 to correct an error in the flight plan location. All files are included. By Andrew Webb.

This is an FSX Mission, and it requires SP2 or Acceleration Pack

All the files you need are in the main zip directory, and you need to make a choice which version of the files you copy to FSX: it depends if you have photo-realistic scenery for the area (England & Wales).

As it's a replication of a flight I actually made, there are no surprises and no failures, just a nice flight on a lovely summer's day. Beginning to end should take about 100 minutes

It is my first Mission but it has been thoroughly tested.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place mission files

    Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
