FSX Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina Update

Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina update refreshes Mike Stone’s amphibian for Microsoft Flight Simulator X with corrected float contact points, an updated panel gauge set, and included Canadian textures by Geoff Chambers. The package delivers the complete aircraft for water and runway operations, featuring a classic 2D cockpit layout without a virtual cockpit.

This is an update for FSX of Mike Stone's Consolidated PBY5A. It was only necessary to reposition two float points and change some gauges on the panel for the previous update of it to work in FSX. This update includes textures by Geoff Chambers, the Canadian textures. This is the whole aircraft. No virtual cockpit. By Bob Chicilo.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the main airplanes folder. Copy the gauge and effect to the main gauges and effects folders.

If you have not already done so, copy the .cab files from the default aircraft panel folders that have them to the main FS gauges folder. For some the .cab files will be .zip files as .cab files are a type of .zip file.

See [reference speeds] in the aircraft.cfg file for operating speeds.

NOTE: THE HOLE IN THE REAR OF THE HULL SEEMS TO BE FROM THE MODEL FILE AND THEREFORE I CAN DO NOTHING TO FIX IT.

FSX / P3D add-on

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
