Approach coverage

Bettles has three instrument approaches spread across two of its four runway ends, so procedure coverage is not concentrated on a single end. Two RNAV (GPS) procedures sit alongside one VOR procedure, providing both satellite-based and VOR-based guidance. No airport diagram is published, leaving the set without a dedicated airfield-layout sheet.

Runways and surrounding coverage

The gravel runway is 1,090 ft longer than the separate water runway, so the land and water operating surfaces do not provide equivalent available length. Among nearby fields, Coldfoot’s four-chart set is closest in breadth to Bettles’ five, while Allakaket’s three-chart set is thinner. The Fairbanks Sectional adds broader visual-navigation context absent from the approach and minima sheets.
