Approach coverage

Deadhorse’s single runway is served at both ends, with the procedure set spanning ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR approaches. This provides several forms of instrument guidance rather than concentrating all approach coverage on one direction or one navigation method. The 6,500 ft Runway 06/24 is the field’s only take-off and landing alignment, with no alternative runway orientation.

Chart context

No airport diagram is published, so the set centres on approaches and minimums rather than a dedicated ground-layout sheet. Nearby Nuiqsut has much thinner procedure coverage. For visual planning, the Point Barrow Sectional supplies the broader area depiction that the airport-specific instrument charts do not.
