This model, created by Erick Cantu, exhibits a thorough representation of the real Boeing 737-200 series. The paint job by Adriano Martoni uses hand-applied, high-resolution graphics (32-bit format), ensuring every rivet and panel line remains visible. Utilizing these techniques allows for immersive lights, reflections, and liveries that stay true to the original Vasp design.

Flight Dynamics and Model Design

The flight dynamics, prepared by Mike Baumann, work in tandem with the custom model to recreate authentic handling, takeoff and climb performance, as well as realistic weight-and-balance characteristics. Since the Boeing 737-200 was known for its older JT8D engines, particular attention has been given to thrust output and drag components, lending a more genuine simulation of thrust response.

Smoke and Effects

The included SMOKE_JT8D effect file mirrors the classic engine trails often observed on older 737 variants. When properly installed, it enhances immersion further by matching the operational profile of these early jet engines.

Installation Guidelines

1. Unzip the provided archive.
2. Move the folder named B732_cru into the Aircraft directory found within the main simulator folder.
3. Copy the SMOKE_JT8D file into the simulator’s Effects directory, also located in the main simulator folder.

No additional downloads or modifications are required, and the entire package is freeware, making it simple to set up within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.

All liveries and visual materials included in this package were designed by Adriano Martoni. Redistribution of these textures without permission is prohibited.
