Beechcraft D18S propeller spin textures restore a clean, realistic blur effect in Microsoft Flight Simulator X by replacing artwork originally tailored for FS2004 that can render incorrectly. Designed for Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas, and Andre Folkers’ Beech 18 D18SVC4.ZIP, the update improves visual fidelity in the virtual cockpit and exterior views.

Replacement prop texture for an FSX installation of the Beechcraft D18S by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas, and Andre Folkers (D18SVC4.ZIP). This file will correct the prop texture that was designed for FS2004 but doesn't appear correctly in FSX. By Chuck Lawsen.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
