FSX Civil Aircraft

Included in this category are many civil jet aircraft and planes for FSX. This covers passenger and commercial aircraft from manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus and other smaller commercial aircraft manufacturers.  These add-ons and downloads install alongside other aircraft in your Microsoft Flight Simulator X inventory and do not conflict with existing aircraft already installed.

The files included in this category are sometimes full packages, which include the model, panel and paintwork, however; these are some files that are simply repaints of existing default aircraft - which means all you have to do is copy the paint scheme into existing folders and fly the default aircraft with your new livery applied - be it Virgin, British Airways, United, American Airlines and hundreds more.

There are hundreds of models and paint schemes in this category including models such as the Boeing 747, 737, 727 and Airbus A380, A340, A330.  Also included is the legendary Concorde package for FSX, which is also the most popular download in this section.

Installing these commercial and civil jet aircraft into your copy of FSX is quite a simple procedure, and each download usually comes with an instruction document explaining in detail how to do so.  However, sometimes users run across installation problems such as the aircraft not showing up in the list, or the textures are all blank - these are common problems that can easily be fixed, and there are many tutorials in the flight sim forums with solutions.
