Lotus Simulations L-39C Albatros virtual cockpit shadow enhancement sharpens and deepens cockpit shading for a more convincing daylight feel while keeping performance steady with shadows enabled. Built for FSX and tuned for DirectX 9, it also complements DirectX 10-class renderers; requires Lotus Simulations L-39C v1.35.

This extension improves the VC shadows of the Lotus Simulations L-39C Albatros version 1.35 and is protected by copyright laws. The use of this extension has no negative impact "with shadow enabled" on the performance in DirectX 9 and is recommended for use with DirectX 10 or better (i.e. P3D). By Uwe Stengel.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
