Taylor J-2 Cub gets a fresh, period-appropriate repaint that sharpens exterior details and keeps the virtual cockpit visuals cohesive for more convincing low-and-slow flying in FSX. Designed as a simple texture enhancement, it requires the TAYLORJ2.ZIP base aircraft and integrates cleanly with the existing model.

This is a texture-Addon for the Taylor J-2 plane. Simply drop all the files in the Texture_Addon folder (from the zip) into your Taylor J-2 folder. Answer yes to overwrite, don't worry this is wanted.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D Repaint

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Add livery to base aircraft folder

    Place the texture folder (typically texture.{airline}) inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{base-aircraft}\.

  3. Update aircraft.cfg

    Open the base aircraft.cfg in Notepad. Add a new [fltsim.X] section per the readme.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
