FSX County Rescue EC-135 Eagle III

County Rescue Services “Eagle III” brings an authentic EC-135 air-ambulance look to the Nemeth Designs helicopter, complete with a hand-painted N135CR livery and matching details. For Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it also includes a stock-object rendition of the Green Bay–area 4WN7 heliport for realistic dispatch-and-return operations; requires the Nemeth Designs EC-135.

Simply move the texture.N135CR folder into your Nemeth Designs EC-135 folder. By default, you can find this folder at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Rotorcraft\ND_EC135.

After this is completed, copy and paste the section below adding it to your ND_EC135 aircraft.cfg file:

Renumber the [fltsim.6] section to the next available number in your aicraft.cfg file. If you have no textures installed other than the ones that came with the product, [fltsim.6] should be correct.

SCENERY INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
----------------------------

Simply copy the enclosed 4WN7.BGL file into your Addon Scenery Folder. By default, this can be found at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\scenery.

Assuming you have the Addon Scenery folder activated (which by default, it is), you need to do nothing further.

The airport can be found at: 44.4711593 / -87.9942696 and has an FAA identifier of 4WN7. There is also a GPS approach, however, at the time of this release, I do not have the information for it.

-----
NOTES
-----
The helicopter textures were hand-painted from several photographs of the helicopter as well as my own meetings with the crew from time to time as they visited our local hospital. I know that as of 2008, they have received a new EC-135 which I have not had a chance to view yet. These textures are for their first version of the EC-135.

The airport layout was derrived from Google Earth photos as well as other ground photos that existed of the facility.

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
