Brindabella Airlines’ VH-TAO brings authentic Australian regional character to the Fairchild SA227 Metro 23 in FSX, with crisp exterior markings matched to the real-world operator based at Canberra. Designed as a repaint for Mike Stone’s Metroliner III model, it requires the base aircraft and fits naturally into route flying across NSW and Queensland.

Brindabella Airlines is a small regional airline operating out of YSCB Canberra, Australia. It operates flights to the following destinations:

Albury YMAY
Newcastle YWLM
Port Macquarie YPMQ
Coffs Harbor YSCH
Brisbane YBBN
Tamworth YSTW
Moree YMOR begins 5th July 2010

Brindabella operate Jetstream 41 aircraft, and Fairchild Metros. Jetstreams operate the Canberra-Newcastle and Brisbane-Coffs-Pt Macquarie routes.

This is my representation of VH-TAO operated by Brindabella. This is a repaint of Mike Stones Metro 23 aircraft, can be found on Flightsim and various other FS sites.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D livery / repaint

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Add livery to base aircraft folder

    Place the texture folder (typically texture.{airline}) inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\{base-aircraft}\.

  3. Update aircraft.cfg

    Open the base aircraft.cfg in Notepad. Add a new [fltsim.X] section per the readme.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
