You can download Zibo 737 liveries for X-Plane 12 from reputable community libraries, including our X-Plane aircraft and repaint downloads, and from the original livery authors. Choose packages explicitly marked for the Zibo 737-800X and preferably X-Plane 12; a generic Boeing 737-800 repaint may target a different model.
Where should I look for Zibo 737 repaints?
Start with a download library that identifies the exact aircraft model and simulator version for every repaint. Search for terms such as Zibo 737-800X, B737-800X and XP12, rather than relying on “Boeing 737-800” alone.
Prefer downloads that provide screenshots, an aircraft compatibility statement and installation notes. A normal livery should be a texture archive; it should not need to replace the Zibo aircraft, its plugins or its main cockpit files.
Can X-Plane 11 Zibo liveries work in X-Plane 12?
Some X-Plane 11 Zibo liveries work in X-Plane 12, but treat them as unverified unless the author or listing explicitly confirms XP12 support. Texture-only packages often load, yet older repaints can show misplaced markings, incorrect winglet or engine textures, lighting faults or missing materials after aircraft changes.

For example, this Southwest City Hopper repaint is labelled for X-Plane 11. That label means it should not be presented as an XP12-ready Zibo livery without checking it in the simulator.
How do I install a downloaded Zibo livery?
Install each repaint in the liveries directory inside your Zibo aircraft folder, not in Custom Scenery or X-Plane’s general output folders.
- Confirm the aircraft installation. The Zibo should have its own folder under
X-Plane 12/Aircraft/, often namedB737-800X. Our guide to the correct Zibo installation and update structure covers this separately. - Extract the download. Do not leave the livery inside its ZIP or other archive.
- Inspect the folder structure. The livery’s folder should contain an
objectsfolder directly inside it, although readme and configuration files may sit alongside that folder. - Copy the complete livery folder. The resulting path should resemble
X-Plane 12/Aircraft/[Zibo folder]/liveries/[Livery name]/objects/. Do not merge these textures into the aircraft’s mainobjectsfolder. - Select the repaint. Choose the Zibo 737 in X-Plane’s aircraft screen, select the new livery and reload the aircraft or restart X-Plane if it does not appear immediately.

Why does the Zibo livery not appear or look correct?
A missing or broken Zibo livery usually means the archive is still compressed, the folders are nested incorrectly, or the repaint was made for another 737 model.
- Not listed in X-Plane: check for an extra wrapper folder. The path must not end up as
liveries/[Livery name]/[Livery name]/objects/. - White or missing aircraft sections: the package may be incomplete or incompatible. Re-extract it and confirm that it targets the Zibo 737-800X.
- Misaligned logos or painted parts: the textures were probably mapped for a different aircraft or Zibo model configuration.
- Works on Windows but not Linux: Linux treats filename capitalisation strictly, so incorrectly cased texture names can produce missing textures.
- No thumbnail: an absent preview icon does not necessarily mean the textures are broken. Load the livery and generate fresh aircraft icons if required.
If an alleged livery asks to overwrite plugins, the aircraft file or the Zibo cockpit, stop and verify the package. A standard repaint belongs under liveries and should not modify the working aircraft installation.
