How do I connect Air Manager to the Zibo 737?
Set up the plugin first, then add Zibo-compatible instruments and verify that the aircraft has electrical power.
- Confirm the Zibo works without Air Manager. Load the aircraft and test its own displays, MCP buttons and rotary controls. If they fail in the virtual cockpit, correct the aircraft installation using our Zibo installation and update checks before diagnosing Air Manager.
- Install the Air Manager X-Plane plugin. The supplied plugin must be installed in the active X-Plane 12 copy and should appear under

Air Manager should report a simulator connection once X-Plane is running with an aircraft loaded. Normal Air Manager operation uses its plugin; manually enabling unrelated X-Plane Data Output channels is not usually required.
- Add instruments made for the Zibo. Search the Air Manager instrument library for references such as Zibo, B738 or 737-800X. Do not assume an instrument labelled only “737” supports the Zibo’s custom systems.
- Power and initialise the aircraft. Blank displays can be correct when the aircraft is cold and dark. - Test data and controls separately. Change the MCP heading in the virtual cockpit and confirm that Air Manager follows it. Then operate the Air Manager heading control and check that the virtual cockpit responds.

Which Air Manager instruments work with the Zibo 737?
Zibo-specific instruments are the safest choice because the aircraft does not use only the stock X-Plane 737 interfaces.

The Zibo uses standard X-Plane data alongside custom datarefs and commands, often within the laminar/B738/... namespace. A suitable Air Manager instrument must subscribe to the correct values and issue the matching commands; visual similarity to a 737 panel is not proof of compatibility.
Why is the Air Manager panel blank or unresponsive?
A blank or frozen panel usually points to aircraft power, an incompatible instrument, a missing plugin connection or blocked network traffic.

Why do the displays work but the buttons do not?
Display input and control output are separate functions, so an instrument can read the correct Zibo dataref yet send an unsuitable stock-aircraft command.
This is especially common with MCP, EFIS and overhead controls. Rotary selectors should normally invoke the intended increase or decrease commands rather than force an internal value directly. If an instrument is described as display-only, no X-Plane setting will make its controls interactive; use a Zibo-aware interactive version instead.
Can Air Manager run on a separate screen or computer?
Air Manager can display the Zibo panel on another monitor or a supported networked device while the X-Plane plugin remains on the simulator computer.
For a remote computer, place both machines on the same local network and allow Air Manager and X-Plane traffic through the firewall. Guest Wi-Fi, wireless client isolation and VPN routing commonly prevent discovery. A wired connection is preferable for a cockpit containing several frequently updated instruments.
For a touchscreen, configure the operating system’s display arrangement and touch association before laying out the panel. A common mistake is calibrating touch input against the main X-Plane monitor rather than the screen showing Air Manager.
What should I check after updating the Zibo?
After a Zibo update, test one PFD, one MCP control and one annunciator before rebuilding or replacing the complete panel.
Keep an exported copy of the working Air Manager panel and record which instrument variants it uses. If only one element fails, the connection itself is probably sound; update or replace that instrument rather than reinstalling Air Manager or changing unrelated X-Plane network settings.
