Choose Windows 11 64-bit when that option is offered. For a legacy support page listing an older Windows release, use only the newest signed 64-bit package that Logitech provides for that exact model. Windows 11 often accepts signed Windows 10-era packages, but that does not make every old Saitek installer compatible.

Avoid driver CDs, third-party driver updaters and packages copied from another Pro Flight product. These are common sources of unsigned drivers, conflicting services and installers that cannot detect the hardware.

How do I perform a clean Pro Flight driver installation?

A clean installation prevents an older Saitek package from competing with the newer Logitech driver.

  1. Identify the exact model. Read the label on the base or underside of the unit. Do not rely solely on the shortened name shown by Windows.
  2. Remove conflicting software if necessary. In Windows 11, open Installed apps and uninstall only old Logitech or Saitek entries belonging to that Pro Flight device. Leave unrelated Logitech keyboard, mouse and webcam software installed.
  3. Disconnect the hardware. Unplug the device and restart Windows after removing an older package. During installation, connect one Pro Flight device at a time so the installer cannot attach to the wrong unit.
  4. Download the correct 64-bit installer. Obtain it from the official Logitech support entry for the model. Check that Windows reports a valid digital signature rather than bypassing an unsigned-driver warning.
  5. Run the installer as administrator. Follow its prompts and connect the device directly to the computer only when requested. Avoid an unpowered hub during initial detection.

How can I confirm that the driver installed correctly?

For a yoke, joystick or pedals, the decisive test is whether Windows receives stable input before the simulator starts.

  2. Enter joy.cpl and press Enter.
  3. Select the controller and open its Properties page.
  4. Move every axis through its full travel and press each button.

If the controller works in joy.cpl but not in the simulator, the driver is installed. The remaining problem is usually a disabled controller, an empty control profile, duplicate axis assignments or another device controlling the same axis. Why is Windows 11 not detecting my Pro Flight device?

Most detection failures come from a mismatched legacy package, USB power trouble or confusion between ordinary flight controls and simulator-driven panels.

Install the integration component intended for the simulator being used, and confirm that it explicitly supports that simulator generation. A Windows device driver handles communication with the panel; the simulator plug-in supplies frequencies, autopilot values, switch states and instrument data. Installing one does not automatically provide the other.

If several panels are attached, prove each one separately on a direct USB connection before rebuilding the full setup. Once every unit works alone, reconnect them through a powered hub if the computer lacks enough ports.
