Burns Municipal’s instrument coverage is concentrated on a single runway end. The RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provide two different approach types to that end, while the other three runway ends have no published approach. There is also no separate airport diagram, leaving the procedure set focused narrowly on approaches and minimums rather than ground layout.
The two concrete runway alignments are close in length: runway 12/30 provides 501 ft more than runway 03/21, so changing alignment produces only a modest increase in available runway length. The Klamath Falls Sectional adds the broader VFR context around Burns that the airport-specific instrument procedures do not provide.
